What’s up right now? (Sept 15, 2025)

  • Since early this year, I’ve been brewing up a framework for all my different creative and professional projects. Thus was born Studio Cazimi, a self-made brand I can work under in all capacities.
  • I’ve become a full time freelancer and I’m actively booking performances, workshops, and coaching/consulting gigs with private and corporate clients.
  • To put a bit of structure under my creative research, I’ve launched a Patreon page. You can join for free just to keep in touch or sign up to support with a small monthly subscription.
  • Together with Niklas Reppel, I co-facilitated the 2 day workshop and concert “Write Yourself an Orchestra” with the community of the TU Dortmund Ensemble for New Chamber Music, as part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations of the Ensemble in June. The workshop gave participants an introduction to live coding with the language Mégra, and encouraged them to create new interactive pieces using Mégra’s live scoring capabilities, which were performed for the larger community at the end of the engagement.
  • The Creative Fix with Ali Cazimi – my newest project, under which I’m developing my creative coaching portfolio. The website is under construction, but I’m already booking clients on my cal.com page.
  • The HeadSpace project is getting another run! After a very exciting and successful showing at ICLC 2025, the piece has been booked again as part of The Generative Art Museum’s Responsive Dreams 2025 festival. More details here.
  • I’ve just returned from performing an extremely fun visual set (as @alice_ahora) at opening night of the inaugural DIGIT_01 – a ‘decentralized microfestival of digital art and electronic music’ in beautiful, rural Tarragona, Catalunya.
  • I’m pursuing a certification from the Center for Deep Listening, to be able to lead sessions, workshops, and retreats using Pauline Oliveros’ Deep Listening pedagogy. I’ve finished the first of two intensive 15-week training courses and aim to start the second one early in 2026.
  • I’m staying otherwise active with the local TOPLAP node, including monthly live-coding improv sessions and the occasional algorave. Hope to see you out there!
